F&B Director (shipboard International) (COPY): Norwegian Cruise Line

Food and Beverage Director

The duties and responsibilities of the Food and Beverage Director include, but are not limited to:


Supervise all food & beverage staff
Ensure that all F&B service related food items are being properly handled according to U.S. Public Health Service policy
Develops a positive working relationship with all shipboard departments to facilitate a team orientated and supportive approach towards Food & Beverage operations.
Coordinates all food and beverage related functions
Ensures that the line’s high standards are maintained in the following areas:
Freestyle service and dining experience.
Galley service, operation and philosophy.
Restaurant service, operation and philosophy.
Bar service, operation and philosophy.
Provisions and inventory control.
Public Health.
Crew assigned to the F&B Department.
General standards in the F&B Department.
Quality control of all F&B products.
Planning and organizing.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Solid progression through F&B ranks
Experience with very busy banquet operations
Experience implementing new F&B concepts
Track record developing profitable F&B promotions
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

BA/BS 3-4 year degree or foreign equivalency.
Courses in safety, environmental, public health and sanitation regulations and procedures are required.
Proof of continuing education in professional F&B courses and seminars.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


· Able to lift at least 25 lbs.

· Bend, lean and stoop without hindrance.

· Use stairs often.

· Work within different temperature changes—indoors to outdoors.

· Able to pass basic safety course.


Conditions for Employment


This position is open for US and International candidates.
